Feyenoord go top, Vitesse win

All four goals came after the break, and two of them from the penalty spot as the visitors pressed the self-destruct button, sending Feyenoord one-point clear before Ajax play on Sunday. Ruben Schaken broke the deadlock two minutes into the second half, before John Guidetti marked his home debut with a goal from the penalty spot, with Ted van de Pavert seeing red for fouling the on-loan Manchester City striker. Kelvin Leerdam headed in the third after 67 minutes before Guyon Fernandez wrapped it up with a late spot-kick. Vitesse Arnhem swept aside opponents Roda JC with a blistering second-half demolition in a 5-0 win at the Gelredome. The two sides reached the break with the scoreline blank and the visitors more than holding their own, but the hosts hit the goal trail in a big way in the second 45, with Marco van Ginkel, Guram Kashia, Giorgi Chanturia, Alexander Buttner and Julian Jenner all on target. Goals from Dusan Tadic and Petter Andersson guided FC Groningen to victory over bottom side Excelsior. While it was the hosts' second win of the season, their visitors are facing up to the prospect of a difficult campagin, with a meagre return of just a single point from their six games to date. Heerenveen picked up only their second win of the season as three late goals saw them across the line against winless VVV Venlo at De Koel. The scoreline remained blank until 16 minutes from time when Luciano Narsingh found the target, while strikes inside the final 10 minutes by Bas Dost and Oussama Assaidi added gloss to what was in truth an unconvincing triumph.
