The 24-year-old Belgian was on the sidelines for the Boxing Day draw with Sunderland after suffering an abductor strain and manager David Moyes is hoping the damage is not long-term. "I don't think it's too bad so who knows," the Scot said. "With Marouane being out it affected us. With Jack Rodwell out as well, we don't really have a lot of creativity in midfield. "We put Johnny Heitinga in midfield [against Sunderland] and I thought he did a good job. We put Sylvain Distin in at the back and we needed all the squad."
