FC Copenhagen clinches 9th Danish league title

FC Copenhagen secured its ninth Danish league title on Thursday when second-place OB lost 2-1 at home to Nordsjaelland.

Copenhagen is now an insurmountable 23 points ahead of OB with seven rounds remaining after having won 20 of its 25 league games so far, with four draws and only one loss.

Danish capital rival Brondby is in third place, five points behind OB.

Copenhagen reached the knockout phase of the Champions League this year, losing to Chelsea.
