United States will repeat their World Cup 2011 campaign after the draw was made for this summer's London Olympics at Wembley Stadium.
Pia Sundhage's team, the two-time defending champion, have been drawn in Group G where they will face France, Colombia and North Korea - the same three nations they faced in Germany last year.
The USWNT started their campaign with a 2-0 win against North Korea in the group stage which they followed with a 3-0 victory over Colombia.
The USA then defeated France 3-1 in the semi-finals before losing to Japan in a heartbreaking penalty shootout after the scores finished 2-2 after extra time.
The Americans are looking to win the tournament for the third time in a row following their success in Athens in 2004 and Beijing four years ago.
Host team Great Britain will meet Brazil, New Zealand and Cameroon in Group E, while world champion Japan faces Sweden, South Africa and Canada.
GB women's coach Hope Powell was relishing the prospect of a clash with Brazil at Wembley.
"(Brazil) will be a great game for us. They are undoubtedly the tough team in the group, they are always there or thereabouts in major tournaments. We know who we're up against now so it's all about the preparation."
The Great Britain women's team have the honour of kicking off the London 2012 Olympics when they take on New Zealand in Cardiff on July 25, two days before the official opening ceremony. They then face Cameroon on July 28, again in Cardiff, before concluding their group campaign against Brazil.
