Fabregas: Wenger fully focused
Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas believes boss Arsene Wenger is "more focused than ever" on the Gunners' cause after five years without a trophy.
"Yes, yes, of this I'm sure," the 23-year-old said in The Sun. "I can guarantee you that, 100%.
"I have been here for seven years, I'm now in my eighth year so I know him very well and I can tell you he is more focused than ever.
"He wants to win and he wants to prove that this young team can be winners, can be successful. That's his dream and he's working very hard for it."
Fabregas was close to returning to his boyhood club Barcelona during the summer, only for Arsenal to stand firm as they rejected a £35million offer for the Spain midfielder.
The World Cup winner insists he has had no backlash from Gunners fans.
"There has not been one single person either at the stadium or in the street who has said anything bad to me about it - no, no. Nothing, nothing at all and that's been very welcome and appreciated.
"I am just focused on having a great season at Arsenal and winning something."
Asked whether he would prefer to win the Barclays Premier League or Champions League, he replied: "That's a difficult one.
"I must say I would be very proud to win the Premier League but - and maybe a lot of the fans are against me in this - winning the Champions League is the one thing I would like to win the most.
"After winning the European Championships, then the World Cup, the Champions League is the next big one for me."
