The north Londoners have suffered a dip in form since the 23-year-old midfielder's injury, losing to West Brom and Chelsea before stuttering to a 2-1 win over Birmingham at the weekend. Fabregas played a key part in Arsenal's Champions League opener against Braga, scoring twice in a 6-0 thrashing of the Portuguese team in September. Arsene Wenger's side will look to make it three wins from three in Champions League Group H when they take on Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk at the Emirates Stadium.
