The Blackburn man is spending the season at Spotland and he was the hero for Dale in Tuesday night's penalty shoot-out victory over Walsall in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy with two fine saves. Eyre is a big fan of the 20-year-old and thinks he can only develop during his time in League One. "He's Blackburn Rovers' goalkeeper and he's going to be an outstanding goalkeeper," he told Sportinglife.com. "Hopefully that will be for Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League. "From our point of view we see this as an ideal place for him to develop and a game like this proves that." Kean, who enjoyed a successful loan spell with Hartlepool last season, admits he is hoping to impress Blackburn and his dream is to play regular football for Rovers in the Premier League. He said: "The aim as a loan player is always to try and impress your parent club. "The aim is to go and play for them in the Premier League. "Hartlepool last year was brilliant and I couldn't begin to thank them enough for what they did for me. "To come here is a different challenge and I'm really starting to settle in and enjoy it."
