Everton held 0-0 by West Brom in Premier League
Everton was held to a 0-0 draw by West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, leaving new manager Roberto Martinez still looking for his first victory with the club.
Marouane Fellaini hit the post late and Seamus Coleman also struck the woodwork for Everton in a lively finish at Goodison Park, while West Brom goalkeeper pulled off a string of saves earlier to frustrate the hosts.
Everton now has two draws from its opening two games, while West Brom earned its first point despite playing without striker Nicolas Anelka, who is on indefinite compassionate leave.
Fellaini is reportedly a transfer target for former Everton manager David Moyes at Manchester United, and came close to giving his team the victory when he downed a cross on his chest but fired his effort against the post as the game entered injury time.
