The midfielder is facing a lay-off after suffering in a knee injury in Saturday's FA Cup clash between the same two sides, although Stoke are still to learn the exact nature of the problem. The 28-year-old went for a scan this morning and the club are hoping to receive results at some point on Monday. Manager Tony Pulis is hopeful he will be out for weeks rather than months. Andy Wilkinson (ankle) and Liam Lawrence (knee) also took knocks but should be fit while Abdoulaye Faye (back) is fit and in contention. Potters (from): Sorensen, Huth, Abdoulaye Faye, Wilkinson, Amdy Faye, Higginbotham, Collins, Lawrence, Sidibe, Whitehead, Delap, Diao, Kitson, Beattie, Fuller, Tuncay, Pugh, Whelan, Simonsen, Begovic.
