ESPN is looking to revamp the FA Cup when it starts televising matches next season.

The Disney-owned network has a four-year deal to broadcast Football Association Cup matches in Britain starting next season. It aims to secure greater access to players and introduce format changes.

ESPN will talk to the Football Association about scrapping replays and playing more matches midweek. It also wants its reporters to be given access to dressing rooms to interview players and managers during matches.

Lynne Frank, ESPN managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, says the broadcaster doesn't want ``to trip people up, we're just trying to make good television.''
