PSV lost Orlando Engelaar 10 minutes before half-time - just as they were enjoying their best spell of attacking pressure, with Ibrahim Afellay hitting the bar and then setting up Jonathan Reis to force a superb save from keeper Boy Waterman. The hosts lost Yuri Rose to a second yellow card 10 minutes from time as the match ended goalless. Roda JC extended their unbeaten home record but were forced to settle for a solitary point against ADO Den Haag. Willem Jansen gave the hosts the lead in the ninth minute but it was all square before the quarter-hour mark as Dmitri Bulykin headed the equaliser. There was precious little in the way of goalmouth action thereafter, though visiting keeper Gino Coutinho was forced into a brilliant save from Arnaud Sutchuin Djoum in the closing stages to keep his side on level terms. NAC Breda moved into the top half of the table with an impressive 3-1 win at home to FC Utrecht. Utrecht could hardly have wished for a better start with Michael Silberbauer giving them a ninth-minute lead. But Csaba Feher responded almost immediately, and Matthew Amoah and Kees Luijckx wrapped up the points after the break. Second-half goals from Lasse Schone and John Goossens ensured NEC Nijmegen claimed a 3-1 victory against Willem II. The home side had taken the lead in this Eredivisie clash through Bjorn Vleminckx only for Andreas Lasnik to equalise before half-time from the penalty spot.
