PSV Eindhoven topped the Dutch league by beating Roda JC 1-0 thanks
to a Danny Koevermans goal in first-half injury time on Tuesday.
The result put PSV level on points with Steve McClaren's FC
Twente in the Eredivisie, but Eindhoven had a better goal
difference.
Koevermans was on hand for the only goal after Roda
goalkeeper Bram Castro failed to gather a shot by defender
Stanislav Manolev in the last attack before the break.
Roda threw more players into attack in the second half but
could not force an equalizer.
FC Twente could manage only 0-0 against Utrecht on Sunday.
