After a perfect record three weeks in Manchester City, United and Chelsea battle for the top spot in the EPL Power Rankings.

Now with three weeks of action in the books we have enough data to judge how the teams are shaping up at the start of the season. Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea all have pulled in a perfect nine points, while a few clubs are already struggling to find points.

Manchester City

(3-0-0)

Pep’s men take the top spot based on their goal differential and European results. City put up two extra victories during these three EPL match days.2

Manchester United

(3-0-0)

Last week: 2-0-0 recordLast rank: N/A

After claiming the Community Shield, United have rolled three victories – albiet now always the easiest ones. Zlatan seems fully settled into the EPL, with the derby match to settle the top spot for next week.3

Chelsea

(3-0-0)

Last week: 2-0-0 recordLast rank: N/A

Conte’s fitness plan seems to have push Chelsea back to the 14/15 form. Getting Hazard and Costa back at full power could see a quick three horse title race take off. 4

Everton

(2-1-0)

Last week: 1-1-0 recordLast rank: N/A

A victory over Stoke sees Everton climb to fourth in the EPL table as well. This is the kind of game they need to win to stay in European competition. Next: City vs United: Derby set to be more than epic5

Arsenal

(1-1-1)

Last week: 0-1-1 recordLast rank: N/A

Arsenal debut in a much higher spot than they would have a week ago. A first victory of the season and a convincing one. Can their new signings help them catch the top three? 6

Tottenham

(1-2-0)

Last week: 1-1-0 recordLast rank: N/A

Spurs will feel like they’ve let 4 points slip this year already that should have been theirs. A draw vs. Liverpool is not a bad result, but Tottenham have thoughts of the title this year not Champions League. 7

Hull City

(2-1-0)

Last week: 2-0-0 recordLast rank: N/A

A great start for the promoted club saw them win two straight before dropping a late goal to United. Six points from their opening nine is more than they would have expected. 8

Leicester City

(1-1-1)

Last week: 0-1-1 recordLast rank: N/A

Champions League: Controversial UEFA plans to benefit Manchester City rivals

Middlesbrough

(1-2-0)

Last week: 1-1-0 recordLast rank: N/A

Five points and in 6th place is a tremendous start for another promotion side. While the season is long, these early points help stave off regulation quite often. 10

Liverpool

(1-1-1)

Last week: 1-0-1 recordLast rank: N/A

After a great opening day victory over Arsenal, Liverpool have failed to push on. Returning to their newly renovated home should help.
