Elm shocked by easy win
The Eredivisie leaders secured their seventh win in eight games as goals from Elm, Adam Maher and Simon Poulsen saw them to a 3-1 victory at VVV yesterday. "We were apprehensive beforehand about VVV's counter-attacks," Elm told www.az.nl. "With (Michael) Uchebo and (Ahmed) Musa they have a lot of speed up front. Ajax and PSV have lost points here. "But despite giving the ball away sloppily at times, we were never in any real danger. "We did our thing and it was quite simple to take the three points back to Alkmaar. "At 1-0 we stayed calm and at 2-0 it was no longer a contest." Elm's goal was his sixth of the season, a total which has surprised even him. "It's unbelievable," he said. "One ball after another from me is flying in. "I've scored in six games in a row. Six goals in eight league matches - that's more than my total of five from the whole of the previous season."
