The lineup for the knockout stages of the East Asian Games football tournament bears a striking resemblance to Asia's World Cup 2010 competitors, at least on the surface.
Japan and South Korea, which have both qualified for the finals in South Africa next year, face off in the semifinals on Thursday while North Korea - which next year will make its first appearance at the World Cup since 1966 - takes on host Hong Kong, which qualified at the expense of a disappointing China.
