Defending champion FC Twente wasted a chance to dislodge PSV Eindhoven from the top of the Dutch league Sunday after being held to a 1-1 draw at Utrecht.

ADO The Hague's shock win at PSV on Saturday handed Twente a chance to claim top spot for the first time in 2011.

The two sides are now level on points at the top, but PSV has a superior goal difference.

Leon de Kogel and Nana Asare combined to give Utrecht a 37th-minute lead only for Nacer Chadli to level five minutes after the break.

Ajax moved into third, three points behind the leaders, after a 2-0 win over De Graafschap Friday.

Tim Matavz netted three including a 55th-minute penalty to help FC Groningen demolish Willem II 7-1.

Andreas Granqvist opened the scoring for Groningen before further goals from Fredrik Stenman, Thomas Enevoldsen and Dusan Tadic completed the rout. Andreas Lasnik converted a 52nd-minute penalty for the bottom side.

Willy Overtoom scored a second half goal to give Heracles Almelo a 1-0 win over Roda JC. Also Sunday, Vitesse Arnhem drew 1-1 against Feyenoord.
