Dutch Eredivisie Roundup, Aug. 7
PSV Eindhoven got their Eredivisie campaign off to a winning start on Saturday night with a 3-1 win over Heerenveen.
PSV will be hoping to claim the title for the first time since 2008 this season, and appear to be well set.
They made light work of Heerenveen this weekend as they eased to a 3-1 victory.
Ola Toivonen bagged a brace (52 & 82), either side of a 63rd-minute equaliser from Milan Kopic, and Orlando Engelaar wrapped things up in stoppage-time.
NEC Nijmegen prevailed with a 1-0 over VVV Venlo, with Ramon Zomer grabbing the only goal of the game five minutes into the second half.
De Graafschap were never troubled in their meeting with Excelsior and ran out 3-0 winners.
Rydell Poepon put them on their way after just eight minutes, before Muslu Nalbantoglu added a second on the hour mark.
Steve de Ridder then joined in the fun late on as he stepped off the bench to fire home six minutes from the end.
Heracles Almelo were also 3-0 victors on Saturday, as they brushed aside Willem II.
Marko Matic broke the deadlock two minutes in and Glymor Plet bagged a late brace (85 & 90) to seal the points.
