Netherlands defender Khalid Boulahrouz is back training after picking up a minor ankle injury during World Cup practice.

Boulahrouz joined the team for a session Wednesday and looked untroubled by the injury he picked up a day earlier.

Hundreds of Dutch and South African fans watched the training session at Wits University stadium in Johannesburg.

The only Dutch player missing was winger Arjen Robben, who is nursing a hamstring injury but expected to join the squad this weekend.

Coach Bert van Marwijk doesn't expect Robben to be fit in time for the Group E opener against Denmark on June 14. Possible replacements include Rafael van der Vaart and Eljero Elia.
