The cable car on top of Durban's new World Cup stadium is back in operation after some stalling problems.

Moses Mabhida Stadium manager Tim te Haar said Thursday that at no time was the sky car considered unsafe.

Last month, South Africa's department of labor gave the city 60 days to make sure the sky car was safe after it stalled and left people stranded. An inspector found the hydraulic brakes had not been regularly checked.

The cable car moves along an arch above the field. The Durban stadium will host the second World Cup semifinal in July.
