Duo won't be sold - Redknapp

Modric endured an unsettled summer window after the Croatia international was the subject of several failed bids from Spurs' London rivals Chelsea. The midfielder at one stage had been keen to discuss a move to Stamford Bridge, but has shrugged off the uncertainty to play a key role in Tottenham's impressive recent run. However, reports have suggested Chelsea will renew their interest in Modric in the New Year, while Manchester United have also been linked with an offer. Team-mate Bale, meanwhile, has been attracting interest from Spain, with both Barcelona and Real Madrid rumoured to be admirers of the Wales international. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy stressed earlier this week that neither player will be sold next month and Redknapp has backed that viewpoint. "No way on earth will they be for sale - not a chance," said Redknapp. "I don't think the chairman would accept any offer. "We are looking to keep pushing on as we've been on a great run and we are bang in there."
