Dundee Utd v Motherwell preview
Danny Swanson could make his first start for Dundee United in more than three months.
The playmaker has been sidelined with a knee injury but made his comeback from the bench in the SPL match against Celtic last weekend and could be handed a place in the starting line-up.
United are further boosted by the return of defender Gavin Gunning from a back problem. Long-term absentees Scott Severin (knee) and Filip Mentel (knee) remain sidelined.
Steve Jennings is set for a return to the Motherwell starting line-up.
The midfielder has now fully recovered from a hamstring injury which restricted him to just four minutes of game time in last Saturday's home defeat to Inverness.
Defender Steven Saunders (Achilles) remains out, while reserve goalkeeper Lee Hollis has made an initial return to training after a hip injury.
