Yannick Djalo scored two first-half goals Friday to lead Sporting Lisbon over Manchester City 2-0 in the second game of the Barclay's New York Challenge at Red Bulls Arena.
The New York Red Bulls face Manchester City in Sunday's nightcap after losing 2-1 to Tottenham Hotspur. Spurs will play Sporting for the tournament title.
In the 23rd minute, Djalo headed Simon Vukcevic's cross from the right side off goaltender Joe Hart's fingertips.
Sporting outshot Man City 5-1 the rest of the half.
Djalo added a second goal to complete a passing sequence in which Evaldo Fabiano pushed it over to defender Daniel Carrico, who then slid it to the Djalo. He one-touched it around Hart and booted it easily into the open net.
''It's good to show what I can do against good competition,'' Djalo said.
