Dickov reveals Red Devils snub
The Red Devils are searching for a new manager after Sean O'Driscoll elected to take the reins at Nottingham Forest just two months after his appointment Two weeks on from O'Driscoll's departure, Dickov was earmarked as the man to build on back-to-back promotions at the Broadfield Stadium but the Scot feels a debt of gratitude to Oldham chairman Simon Corney for giving him his chance in league management and wants to build on the foundations he has laid at Boundary Park over the past two seasons. "It wasn't a very long conversation," Dickov said of Crawley's approach when he addressed the media after Tuesday night's 2-1 friendly victory over Manchester City. "I love what I'm doing here, I love my job. I'm very respectful and flattered that Crawley did approach me but, at the same time, I want to try and build something here. "I don't think loyalty is rife in the game at the moment. Simon has given me a chance and I want to show a bit of loyalty back as well."
