Paolo Di Canio wants to draw upon the talent of Tottenham and AC Milan in the hope of finding instant success in his first managerial position in English football.
Famous in England for his volatile personality and spectacular goals while playing for Sheffield Wednesday and West Ham, the former Italian striker is starting in the fourth tier of the country's professional leagues after signing a contract with Swindon.
Di Canio says that his former West Ham manager Harry Redknapp is willing to lend him some players from his current Tottenham squad. He also wants to borrow players from Milan, where he won the 1996 Serie A title.
The 42-year-old says ''we also have ideas to bring in two or three intelligent players.''
