Jay DeMerit remains doubtful for Watford's game against Sheffield Wednesday because of a back injury.
The defender from Green Bay, Wis., missed Sunday's 3-1 loss at Cardiff with a back injury, and manager Malky Mackay said Monday he was still receiving treatment ahead of Wednesday's League Championship match at Hillsborough.
Mackay said DeMerit got hurt Friday and, despite treatment, was unable to get fit enough for the game at Cardiff.
