Defender Jonny Evans leaves Man United for West Brom

WEST BROMWICH, England (AP) Defender Jonny Evans has left Manchester United to join West Bromwich Albion.
The Northern Ireland international rose through the ranks at United and was the second-longest serving current player behind Wayne Rooney, making 198 appearances.
The 27-year-old center back signed a four-year deal at the Hawthorns.
The three-time Premier League winner says West Brom presents ''a new, fresh challenge for me and one I'm looking forward to.''
