De Gea committed to Atletico
Goalkeeper David De Gea - reportedly a Manchester United target - has reiterated his desire to remain at Atletico Madrid for the long term.
The 20-year-old has produced some sparkling performances this season and has been strongly linked with a move to United.
De Gea, who is on the verge of a call-up to the Spain squad, burst onto the scene at Vicente Calderon last term and has made the No 1 jersey his own.
United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has reportedly sent scouts to watch the young goalkeeper in action, but De Gea insists he is happy at Atletico.
"I am very comfortable here, this has always been my club, and I want to defend this shirt for a long time and win titles," he told AS.
"The club is in charge but I am very happy here, and when things go well there is no need to change.
"The Champions League is the main thing, and we also have the cup competition, which is very nice, and so we will like to get as far as possible."
