Borussia Moenchengladbach defender Dante has confirmed his long-rumored transfer to Champions League finalist Bayern Munich as of next season.

The Brazilian said Thursday Bayern was one of the ''three, four greatest clubs in the world'' where he will have the chance to play at the ''highest level and win titles.''

Bayern confirmed the move as well and said Dante received a four-year contract. He still had two years on his contract with Moenchengladbach. No details of the transfer fee were disclosed.

Dante joined Moenchengladbach in 2009 and this season helped the club become one of the title contenders. The team is fourth with two matches remaining and could clinch a place in next season's Champions League.

Dante has played 91 Bundesliga games for Moenchengladbach and scored eight goals.

One day after Bayern won a penalty shootout over Real Madrid to reach the Champions League semifinals, backup forward Ivica Olic said he would leave at the end of the season when his contract expires to join Wolfsburg.
