Barcelona right back Daniel Alves will miss the last-16 match in the Copa del Rey at Osasuna on Thursday as a precautionary measure after feeling discomfort in his right leg during practice.
The Catalan club says the problem happened on Wednesday. Barcelona enters the return leg with a 4-0 lead.
Alves was included in FIFA-FIFPro's world all-star team on Monday.
Barcelona also says Ibrahim Afellay's recovery from surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left knee is ''satisfactory,'' with the Dutch midfielder returning from the Netherlands to continue his rehabilitation at the club's facilities.
