The Czech Republic was further weakened ahead of World Cup qualifying games against Armenia and Italy when Augsburg midfielder Jan Moravek picked up a foot injury.

The Czechs have to do without injured defensive midfielder Tomas Hubschman and midfieder Vladimir Darida, who is suspended against Armenia due to yellow cards. West Bromwich forward Matej Vydra has a muscle injury and can't play in the Sept. 6 match in Prague and four days later in Turin.

The Czechs need to do well to keep their hopes alive to qualify for the tournament in Brazil.

Italy leads Group B with 14 points. The Czechs are third, five points behind Italy, trailing Bulgaria by one point.
