Pavel Dochev has quit as CSKA Sofia coach following its poor performance in the local championship.

Dochev resigned on Monday after his team picked just one point from their first three domestic league games.

CSKA says it will name the replacement in the next few days. The team will host Welsh champion The New Saints on Thursday in the Europa League.

The 44-year-old Dochev took over CSKA at the end of last season, which was disappointing for the team that has won a record 31 league titles.
