Cruzeiro is close to completing the loan signing of Marseille striker Brandao.
The Brazilian club announced on their website that the 31-year-old forward would return to his homeland on a temporary deal until the end of the year.
But a statement on OM's own site read: "OM indicate that no document has yet been signed concerning the eventual departure of Brandao to the Brazilian club.
"Marseille announces, however, that the two clubs are very close to finding an agreement."
