Crocked Adam to see specialist
Blackpool manager Ian Holloway has revealed Charlie Adam will see a specialist over a mystery abdominal injury.
Adam is facing a two-match suspension following his 10th booking of the season against Tottenham in midweek and Holloway has decided to send him to a medical expert to try and resolve the problem.
"Charlie went to see a specialist about something that's happening to him," said Holloway.
"We want to sort it out."
Holloway also praised James Beattie after helping Blackpool to beat Tottenham in midweek, despite the death of his father a week ago.
"He lost his dad last week and still played in the reserves on Monday," added Holloway.
"You wouldn't have known he has lost his dad. It's happened to me, so I know how hard it is. So to do what he did was total professionalism."
Beattie, who is currently on loan at Bloomfield Road from Rangers, has impressed since joining and Holloway believes he is proving to be a key member of his squad.
"He has done so much in his career and we are lucky to have him," continued Holloway. "He has so much strength of mind and aggression. The other night I felt sorry for Michael Dawson when Beattie went up for a header.
"You can make runs off the back of him, knowing he will get the ball to you."
