Croatia will be without injured midfielder Niko Kranjcar and forward Mladen Petric when it faces Turkey in a playoff for next year's European Championship.

Croatia coach Slaven Bilic announced his squad for the two-leg playoff on Wednesday, which included Tottenham duo Luka Modric and Vedran Corluka along with Bayern Munich striker Ivica Olic and defender Danijel Pranjic.

Kranjcar pulled out of the qualifier with Latvia last month with a leg injury, while Hamburg SV forward Petric was hurt during training last week.

Also missing from the 24-man squad is Bolton striker Ivan Klasnic and defender Ivan Strinic, who plays for Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

Despite the many injuries, Bilic expressed confidence that Croatia qualify for Euro 2012.

''I am convinced that we have enough knowledge and experience,'' Bilic said. ''But it is no secret that we have players in our team who have not recovered enough, and who don't play continuously in their clubs.''

Croatia and Turkey played a dramatic quarterfinal at Euro 2008 when Turkey won on penalty kicks after both teams scored in the last two minutes of extra time to draw 1-1.
