Nottingham Forest striker Simon Cox is to have scans on his ankle to discover the extent of the injury he sustained at Wolves on Saturday.

The Irishman hurt his left ankle in a challenge with Kevin Foley during the second half of their 2-1 win at Molineux.

Cox was taken straight to the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham for preliminary X-Rays which revealed no obvious fracture.

However, he could still face a long spell on the sidelines depending on the result of the scans.
