Fulham ended the month with three wins and two draws, a run in which Schwarzer only conceded one goal. It is the fourth time Hodgson has won the Barclays Manager of the Month award, and the second time this season. Schwarzer, who has spent 13 seasons in the top flight, has never been named the player of the month before. The decision was made by the Barclays Awards Panel, which includes representatives from football's governing bodies, the media and fans. Barclays have announced that they will donate to charity £1,000 for every Premier League goal scored and an extra £500 for every shot on target during the weekend of March 19-21. All the money raised will go to Sport Relief. Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe said: "I think this is a great idea. All the players will be looking to score those prized goals and it should prove to be an excellent weekend for the Barclays Premier League and Sport Relief."
