Corinthians has reached an agreement to sign coach Tite from United Arab Emirates club Al Wahda.

Tite arrived in Brazil late Monday to sign the contract with the four-time Brazilian champion, which hasn't won in seven matches.

Corinthians' last victory was a 3-2 result against Santos on Sept. 22 at the Vila Belmiro stadium.

The team was without a coach since Adilson Batista quit after a disappointing 4-3 home loss to Atletico Goianiense last Sunday.

Tite says Corinthians remains ''capable of improving and contending for the title'' this year.

Seeking its first league trophy since 2005, Corinthians is third in the 20-team standings with 50 points, four less than leader Cruzeiro.
