The France international completed his £7million switch from Arsenal this week after signing a four-year contract with the Eastlands club. Clichy was first-choice left-back at the Emirates Stadium, although he will be vying with Aleksandar Kolarov to start along with the likes of Pablo Zabaleta and Joleon Lescott, who can also play the position. The 25-year-old has spoken with City's Italian boss Roberto Mancini and insists the pair are both on the same page when it comes to helping bringing success to the ambitious club. "I believe in life as well as in sport you have to push yourself towards your objectives," he told The Sun. "And my objectives have always been to play for the best team I can and be the best player I can. "That's why I believe City is the right club for me now and in the future. "Of course I'm aware of the risks. With so many top players here it's not going to be easy. "But I have spoken to the manager and I know what he wants and he knows what I want. "And we both want the same - success for City and that's good. "So I'm here for all the right reasons. I'm ready for the challenge, I'm ready to prove myself all over again. "I can't say we will definitely win (the Premier League title) this year, but I can say it is definitely coming. "I believe we have a good enough and big enough squad to challenge for all four trophies."
