Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko is a target for AC Milan following the exit of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to his agent.

Ibrahimovic reached an agreement to join Paris St Germain on Tuesday and Milan are believed to be looking for a replacement.

Dzeko was behind Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez and Mario Balotelli in the battle for a first-team place at City by the end of last season and Roberto Mancini has been linked with more signings.

The Premier League champions are monitoring the situation with Arsenal's Robin van Persie and Dzeko would appear to be a player they would allow to leave.

The 26-year-old Bosnia international's agent Sead Susic claims there is interest from Milan and it is a switch that his client would welcome.

"Edin would love to play in Serie A and with the Rossoneri," Susic told spaziomilan.it. "A move to AC Milan is more than possible.

"There have been discussions and they are continuing. Let's see what will happen in the coming days.

"After the departure of Ibrahimovic, Dzeko would be an ideal replacement and it would be a wonderful experience, but we are waiting to see what happens.

"Is there a 70 per cent chance that he ends up at Milan? Maybe."
