A managers' union says Chelsea and its former assistant coach Ray Wilkins have resolved the dispute surrounding his departure from the Premier League club.

Chelsea announced on Nov. 11 it was not renewing Wilkins' contract and that the former England midfielder would be leaving the club with immediate effect.

Wilkins threatened legal action on the basis of unfair dismissal but the League Managers Association said Wednesday the two parties have reached a settlement.

Wilkins thanked Chelsea for "ensuring that matters have been brought to a swift and harmonious conclusion."
