Cesc eyes great year with Gunners

Cesc Fabregas has assured Arsenal supporters that he is "completely focused" on fighting for silverware with the Gunners this season.

The Spanish midfielder had been keen to join Barcelona during the summer but Arsene Wenger rejected two offers for his services.

Fabregas eventually put an end to the speculation by releasing a statement saying he would stay at the Emirates Stadium, and has since earned praise from boss Arsene Wenger for his professionalism.

The 23-year-old, currently sidelined with a hamstring injury, insists nothing has changed and he will continue to approach his football in the right manner.

"I am completely focused, I know what I want to do and what I have to do," he told Cadena COPE.

"My mind is centred on what happens on the pitch which I enjoy.

"If I could not play football then I may worry, but while I still can here or wherever I am happy.

"I am at a great club, in a great team and want to do my best and have a great year."
