Neil Lennon has committed to Celtic for another year despite a troubled first full season in charge of the Glasgow club.

Lennon faced death threats, had parcel bombs sent to him and was attacked by a fan on a touchline before ending the season by winning the Scottish Cup last month.

After signing a new 12-month rolling contract, Lennon said on Celtic's website that ''we have sat down, looked at last season and now we look ahead.''

Celtic chairman John Reid says ''last season was a particularly difficult one for Neil, but he came through this period with tremendous credit.''

Reid added that the 39-year-old Lennon ''proven himself as a football manager with great talent and someone who we are delighted to have in charge.''
