The dramatic west London derby saw Rangers clinch a 1-0 victory at Loftus Road after Heidar Helguson tucked away an early penalty. Jose Bosingwa and Didier Drogba were both shown red cards by referee Chris Foy, who also booked seven Chelsea player. Cech said: "I have never before played with nine men for such a long spell of time, at least I can't recall a situation like that. "In the end it could have been even worse because we had seven yellow cards and anything could happen. "It's a shame we did not win because in the previous fixtures we were in good shape. However, we started slowly. "Under the circumstances in which the match was played, our performance with nine players on the pitch in the second half was fantastic and we deserved to equalise. "After the interval I was rather a sweeper than a goalkeeper as I was outside of the box almost all the time trying to distribute passes."
