Newly signed Argentine striker Fernando Cavenaghi wants to repeat the success of his countrymen at Brazilian club Internacional.

Cavenaghi will join playmaker Andres D'Alessandro and midfielder Pablo Guinazu, who helped the club win last year's Copa Libertadores, Latin America's most important club competition.

The former River Plate striker says he wants to play just as well as his "Argentine friends" at the Brazilian club.

The 27-year-old Cavenaghi, whose last club was Mallorca in Spain, says he wants to perform well at Internacional to try to regain his spot in the Argentine national team.
