Manager Carlo Ancelotti believes he will "definitely" still be in charge of Chelsea next season whatever happens in the Premier League run-in.

Ancelotti started his first season at Stamford Bridge in impressive fashion following his summer move from AC Milan and Chelsea have been at the top of the pile for most of the campaign.

However, their season is very much in danger of falling apart following a dismal week which saw them dumped out the Champions League by Inter Milan and stumble to a 1-1 draw at Blackburn Rovers to leave them third in the table.

But Ancelotti is confident that even if Chelsea end the season empty-handed he will still be at the helm next year.

"First of all I believe that we will do well this year," he told Italian newspaper La Stampa. "However, my future will definitely be at Chelsea next year, independent of results."
