Capello admires Arsenal's Alex
Oxlade-Chamberlain has impressed Capello after arriving at Arsenal from Southampton in the summer. The 18-year-old scored on his first senior start for Arsenal in their Carling Cup win over Shrewsbury and he followed that up with a strike in last week's UEFA Champions League win over Olympiakos. Capello is keen to have a closer look at the winger and is prepared to call him for some friendlies before Euro 2012. "I have been impressed with him," Capello told FATV. "He is a really interesting player. He is a good player, who has a lot quality and is playing at a really high level. "He will be a really interesting player for the next friendly games before the Euros, which hopefully will happen for us." Capello also expressed his delight at seeing Oxlade-Chamberlain and Manchester United striker Danny Wellbeck score in the Champions League recently feeling it can only boost their confidence. "For players to score goals in this competition is really important, both to improve and find the confidence in their quality," added Capello. "It is the same when you play with the national team. When you play in the Premier League, you can score but the whole thing is really normal."
