Callejon, Ozil lift Real Madrid past Philadelphia

Jose Maria Callejon and Mesut Ozil both scored early in the first half as Real Madrid beat the Philadelphia Union 2-1 in a friendly on Saturday.

After earlier taking a 4-1 victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy and a 3-0 win over Chivas Guadalajara, Real Madrid finished the trip with another win before 57,305 fans at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles.

Callejon scored in the second minute and Ozil followed in the 11th to give Madrid a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Michael Farfan scored for the Union in the 80th minute.

Jack McInerney nearly equalized for the Union in the waning seconds of stoppage time, but Madrid goalkeeper Jesus Fernandez made a diving save.

Thousands of fans wearing Cristiano Ronaldo jerseys watched the former World Player of the Year score four goals in the first two matches for the Spanish La Liga runner up, including an impressive hat trick against Chivas Guadalajara last Wednesday in San Diego.

Ronaldo entered Sunday's match at halftime.

The Union defeated Premier League side Everton 1-0 last Wednesday.
