The 29-year-old will sign for Caley Thistle on Wednesday when his contract with Gillingham expires, after featuring for the SPL club during pre-season. King has been suffering from a thigh strain but manager Terry Butcher expects the former Barnet player to be fit for Saturday's SPL opener at St Mirren Park. "Simon has agreed to sign on Wednesday and that completes our first team pool," said Butcher. "He's a useful acquisition with good experience and we're pleased to land him. "We'll have a settled squad much earlier this time, and they'll all have gone through pre-season together."
