Latics are entrenched in a relegation battle as they trail fourth-from-bottom Wolves by a point with two games remaining. There is a six-pointer at the DW Stadium on Sunday as Wigan host rock-bottom West Ham - a game neither team can afford to lose. Defeat for the Hammers will mean relegation and Caldwell knows that whoever copes with the immense pressure of the contest will emerge with the points. "There will be pressure on us, but there's pressure on every team down there at the bottom," explained Caldwell. "There's still a lot of teams in it. It'll come down to who can handle it, who can keep their nerve. "As soon as you start going against the things you're good at and what the manager is telling you, that's when you start to struggle. "I think we'll be okay. If we win then West Ham are down, but we have to focus on us and us alone."
