Cairney has bright future - Boateng

Cairney only signed his first professional contract last summer but he has already proved a big hit at the KC Stadium, alongside Dutchman Boateng in the centre of midfield. The Tigers academy graduate looks set for a long spell in the first team with long-term absentee Jimmy Bullard still a long way off full fitness and Boateng is confident the 19-year-old can play an important part in Hull's fight against relegation and then go on to star in the limelight on the international stage. "He's my boy, I like him a lot," said Boateng. "What pleases me is that when I give him the ball, I can trust him with it. In the middle of the park there is nothing more valuable than that. "Tom is a player who is going to get a lot of publicity in the next few weeks from the press and from our fans. I hope he stays grounded because he's a tremendous talent and if he works on his game, he'll be an England international - he's that good."
